1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Bloqr ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Bloqr is an Android application that helps users manage screen time by blocking selected applications on a schedule or manual trigger, providing focus timer sessions (Pomodoro technique), and displaying usage statistics. All functionality operates locally on your device.
3. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any portion of it
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App to develop competing products or services
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the App
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Bloqr offers optional premium features through in-app purchases and subscriptions ("Bloqr Pro") managed via Google Play and RevenueCat.
- Payments are charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account settings
- Refunds are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Interfere with the intended operation of other apps in a manner that causes harm to third parties
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the App's own security features (e.g., Strict Mode PIN)
- Use the App on a device you do not own or have authorization to use
6. Device Administrator and Accessibility Permissions
Certain features of Bloqr require elevated Android permissions:
- Accessibility Service: used exclusively to detect the foreground app and trigger blocking. You can disable this at any time in Android Settings.
- Device Administrator: used only when Strict Mode is active to prevent uninstallation during a committed focus session. You may revoke this permission in Android Settings → Security → Device Admin Apps.
You grant these permissions voluntarily. Bloqr uses them solely for the stated purpose and does not transmit any data collected via these permissions to external servers.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure
- Blocking will be effective against all apps under all Android configurations (device manufacturers may impose restrictions)
- Usage statistics will be 100% accurate (data sourced from Android's UsageStats API)
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PRODUCTIVITY, DATA, OR REVENUE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services including Google AdMob, RevenueCat, and Google Maps. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
10. Changes to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any feature thereof) at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil.
